Electronics Maintenance Technician
Install, maintain, repair, and rework electronic and/or electrical systems related to plant facilities and associated electronic/electrical components, and /or specialized equipment. Use technical knowledge, existing procedures, (or develop new procedures), to diagnose and correct system and component malfunctions to achieve optimum operating efficiency. Modify, test and calibrate electronic or electrical systems or components (including interactive and electro-mechanical components and adaptive computer system machine controls). Use electronic test equipment and other tools to accomplish work on numerically controlled (NC) or computer numerically controlled (CNC) or other similar devices used to control machine operation.
Competencies Must possess, at a minimum, an Oregon Limited Manufacturing Plant Journeyman Electrician License. Prefer experience in troubleshooting computer numerical controls (CNC), programmable logic controllers (PLC), AC and DC drives, and servo systems including (but not limited to) the following: Allen Bradley/Rockwell PLC's, GE FANUC family, Siemens and Mazak/Mitsubishi, Honeywell controllers and experience with Wonderware.
Basic Qualifications For Consideration
Do you have a minimum Oregon Limited Manufacturing Plant Journeyman Electrical License or an equivalent license from a reciprocal State as defined by OAR # i.e. Arkansas, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Maine or Wyoming?
Typical Education/Experience Must have 2 years' documented electronic education or equivalent experience and must possess, at a minimum, an Oregon Limited Manufacturing Plant Journeyman Electrician License.
Other Job related information This is an hourly position governed by the IAM Collective Bargaining agreement. Please contact your Joint Programs Career Advisor for assistance. Normal work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday. Under the 2008 - 2016 collective bargaining agreement that covers this position, seniority progression increases are available. The collective bargaining agreement states, in part, On the Friday immediately preceding their six (6)-month anniversary of the date of hire or date of the last seniority progression increase, employees below the rate range maximum for their labor grade shall, subject to such maximum, receive a seniority progression increase to their base rate of fifty (50) cents. Employees shall automatically progress to the base rate range maximum upon their twelfth (12th) seniority progression increase. NCRC (National Career Readiness Certificate) preferred.
