The Electronic Technician 1 (ET1) is responsible for development, planning and execution of system tests for the release of various Safetran products. ET1 will manage test effort(s) to ensure project time completion efficiency and optimum test/support quality for all deliverables. ET1 also provides field support, orders test support supplies/services and tracks material; creates site/lab reference materials to ensure process clarity and repeatability; performs detail checks, and tests development efforts in validation of product/design, continuity, breakdown/validation overlap, and product test reporting. ET1 will also coordinate with outsourced task assignments to ensure resource and project completion continuity and efficiency. ET1 will also conduct assigned tasks as required.
* Two year certificate (college or technical school) electrical related or equivalent. * Min. 5 years experience trouble shooting, repairing, and testing proficiency or electrical/electromechanical industry experience * Familiarity Safetran and industry product functionality and product development model * Experience working with ERP, configuration management and deficiency tracking software. * Knowledge of PCB and PCBA circuitry * Experience with LabView and other PLC programming a plus. * Experience with precision measurement equipment instruments and electronic test equipment including but not limited to digital volt/ohm meters, oscilloscopes, signal generator, hipot tester, and a surge generator. * Basic computer knowledge. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word * *Programs test equipment controllers and data collection computers and devices. * *Supports and maintains test equipment in designated test areas * *Performs testing as defined by the system requirements and test plan. * *Performs board/assembly rework as required * Provides field support, supply and track material/project documentation. * *Creates Process Manuals. * *Maintains product test deficiency tracking information. * Calls vendors for material/service or ordering information. * Tests jobs setups * Generation and distribution of all applicable documentation and test requirements * Detailing of test setups and test hardware * Detail check. * Tests of racks and cases. * Relay test results spreadsheets. * Attends Company and industry-related meetings, as required. * Establishes individual goals which are aligned with the Company's business strategies and objectives. * Functions as a contributing member of the department's team and other teams, as assigned. * Assists the department in the accomplishment of the team's goals. * Performs other duties as assigned. * *Constructs test fixtures in support of unit and system test. * *Assists with building and testing prototype units. * *Assists with developing, implementing and maintaining test plans and procedures. * *Debugs and troubleshoots electrical/electromechanical assemblies and devices. * *Provides recommendations to improve overall product safety and reliability. * *Provides estimates for completing required testing tasks. * *Prepares documentation in accordance with ISO 9001. * *Participates in Process Improvement program A.
