A Wireless Solutions Provider in the Lexington, KY area is currently seeking an Electronics Technician / Manufacturing Engineer with Manufacturing & SMT Assembly Experience with Excellent Soldering Skills.
Responsibilities:
-> Responsible for the manufacturing process and for providing technical expertise related to new and existing products
-> Works closely with Design Engineering, Quality Assurance and Production Planner to ensure products are built to current released documentation and required schedule
-> Provide technical support to manufacturing and repair technicians for troubleshooting, testing and rework of products
-> Responsible for the daily operation of the manufacturing facility
-> Responsible for the logistical layout of the manufacturing area, including staging and inventory areas, to promote efficient manufacturing
-> Responsible for documenting and communicating manufacturing delays, employee performance issues, resource requirements, maintenance issues, etc to the Operations Coordinator
-> Evaluate, troubleshoot and generate improvements to manufacturing assembly processes and related controls, i.e., paste printing through final assembly
-> Evaluate electronic assembly equipment and associated parameters and use information for process control and improvement, i.e. Thermal Profiles, Pick and Place Speed and Accuracy, Coating and Potting Application
-> Conduct tests & experiments and formally report results in accordance with requests/requirements from Design Engineering
Requirements:
-> 2 years experience as electronic technician for manufacturing, SMT assembly, or as an electronic design engineer
-> Experienced in SMT assembly processes
-> Ability to manually solder, de-solder and place fine pitch SMT components accurately on printed circuit boards per IPC A 610, latest revision
-> Must be able to read and interpret electronic schematics, mechanical drawings, Gerber files, PCB layouts, and support documentation
-> Experienced in electronic circuit board assembly processes and related controls, i.e. Paste printing through final assembly
-> Effective use of test equipment, i.e. Oscilloscope, DMM, function generator, and other laboratory equipment
-> Experience with electronic and electro-mechanical components, i.e. Digital, analog and programmable ICs, passives, relays, circuit breakers and other components
-> Trained or certified to IPC 610
-> Associate degree in electronics or electronic technician, or equivalent training
