Engine Systems Cost & Innovation Engineer
The Engine Systems Cost & Innovation Engineer is responsible for defining engine systems technical component cost. This person will virtually illustrate the production environment for purchased components. They'll also segregate burden, labor & capital. Cost collaborate Change Notices (CN's), Tooling Purchase Orders (TPO's) & verify assets. Support new product development with directional cost (micro standards), 'did' cost (parametric data) & for completed designs, 'should' cost (prescribe activity based cost drivers). Engine systems engineering components and systems include the engine cooling system, fuel system, engine air induction system and the exhaust system.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university • Minimum of 6 years product development experience • At least 5 years of experience being responsible for design & release of engine systems components • Strong leadership ability, interpersonal and communication skills with excellent project management aptitude • Proficient w/MS Office
Preferred Qualifications:
• Masters of Science in Engineering discipline • Business / Finance degree • Minimum of 10 years product development experience • Experience or ability to navigate NX &/or Catia • Experience with Teamcenter highly desirable • In-depth understanding in the following areas: injection and blow mold tooling, manufacturing assembly, dimensional control measurement techniques, process parameters and general accepted accounting principles are a plus
