Job Description
Works as part of a team to support manufacturing activities including troubleshooting of automated control processes. Contributes to the successful implementation of system improvement projects and supports manufacturing production goals.
•Performs user interventions to ensure that the manufacturing process maintains a continuous flow.
•Create, update and maintain manufacturing SOPs to guarantee that they are in-line with the current process steps.
•Solve automation system and manufacturing equipment issues that result in production delays; coordinate and contact support groups for assistance.
•Participates in the execution of change notice ownership, functional tests, Commissioning Plans, and Qualification Protocols.
•Learn Delta V control systems and assist team in day to day manufacturing operations, troubleshooting and change recommendations.
•Lead and close small process improvement projects that relate to DeltaV, manufacturing equipment and the operator interaction with the automation system.
•Continuously train the manufacturing operators on the manufacturing process as it relates to the automation system.
•Own and close corrective actions related to the automation system; this includes, but is not limited to CMTs that are generated due to user interventions and non-conformance.
Job Requirements
•Ability to discuss normally encountered technical issues, both verbally and in written form.
•Ability to work as a collaborative team member.
•Ability to solve routine design, engineering problems with assistance.
•Ability to work on any shift required to accommodate the business need. B.S. in Engineering (preferably in Chemical. BioChemical, Biomedical, or Mechanical) and 0 - 1 year related experience (in-house, co-op or acquired outside).
•Must be able to work in controlled environments requiring special gowning. Will be required to follow gowning requirements and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body.
•No make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish or artificial fingernails may be worn in the manufacturing environment.
•Will work in a cold, wet environment
•Must be able to work multiple shifts, including weekends.
•Must be able to work overtime as required.
•May be required to work in a confined area.
•Some Clean Room and cool/hot storage conditions.
•Required to spend 50% of work time in the manufacturing operations area.
•5% travel.
