Job Description Position Summary The Quality Engineer will primarily be responsible for leading basic shipping qualification activities along with associated documentation requirements. In addition, routine or ad hoc support for growth or compliance initiatives may be required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating optimal, cost-effective projects and technologies. •Draft basic qualification and shipping qualification protocols. •Process request, routing, approval, etc. of required documentation for qualification/protocol, etc. •Coordinate/Organize Product Launches •Assist in other ad-hoc support for Global Logistics, Clinical, etc. •Possible travel to facilitate product returns.
Job Requirements Education:
•A minimum of a Bachelor degree in a related science or engineering discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience is required. Packaging Engineer degree preferred. •Two to Five (2 to 5) years work experience in the pharmaceutical or medical devices industry in a manufacturing, clinical, or quality assurance role is desired. Distribution Quality and Cold Chain experience preferred. Special Skills:
•Experience with Quality, Cold Chain, Packaging Design and Qualification desired. •Familiarity with GMP and Good Distribution Practices (GDP) desired. •Capacity to oversee testing and familiarity with ISTA/ASTM Standards desired. •Possess superior organizational skills and be very detailed oriented •Ability to use computer systems for word processing, basic data analysis, and presentations. •Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. •Knowledge and understanding of Global regulations pertaining to drug and device packaging and shipping is desired.
