Client that is a leader in the design, manufacturing, testing and installations of fluid handling systems is actively interviewing for a Quality Engineer. This position is located in Vermont and candidates must have an Engineering Degree. Relocation is negotiable for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
-> Primary responsibility is to assist in developing and implementing the quality system, such as procedure compliance, audits, improvements, purchase review, receiving documentation, vendor audits, etc
-> Assist with Hands-on inspections as required at times to fill in for Quality Inspectors
-> Execute Quality Plans, controls, and ensure product and process quality assurance is in accordance with standards and procedures
-> Nuclear plant order review and contract verification
-> Material Inspection and Control, Discrepant Material Reports processing, Returned Material and Warranty Processing
Requirements:
-> Must have an Engineering Degree, preferably a Quality Engineering curriculum. Other preferred degrees include BSME, BSEE, Chem-E etc
-> Around 5 years of quality control inspection or quality engineering experience required
-> ASQ Certified Quality Engineer is a definite plus
-> Background in nuclear or utility industry a definite plus
-> Must have good understanding of Quality principles, systems, methods, standards and tools to be able to develop and implement Quality Systems
-> Experienced in the audit processes, and the planning, reporting, follow ?up, etc. of internal and vendor audits
-> Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, standards, and specifications
-> Knowledgeable of ASME Code standards and applications is a plus
-> Travel is estimated to be 15% to 25% per year
