Engineer - Vehicle Quality Analyst

The Engineer - Vehicle Quality Analyst is responsible for the ongoing compilation of vehicle quality fleet tests and issue trend charts. This role serves as a focal coordinator for Engineering Quality to provide the analysis involved for different vehicles products simultaneously on test. The outputs would be the measurable quality key performance indicators related to the vehicle product testing. The Engineer - Vehicle Quality Analyst will have proven experience in both supplier and quality areas. The successful candidate must possess outstanding teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills. The candidate must have proven track record for developing and executing standardization.
Additionally the Engineer - Vehicle Quality Analyst will be responsible for statistical data analysis of vehicle quality fleet issues (ordinary quality fleets and assembly plant quality fleets), compilation of test completion-to-plan charts, and warranty trend charts for management review, on a weekly summary timeline. Develop continuous improvement methods for more efficient data and chart manipulation. Provide leadership and creative thinking to the analysis of data and the identification of new opportunities.
Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 3 years of experience in statistical data analysis
• Ability to perform statistical data analysis including estimation, testing hypothesis, and confidence intervals
• Knowledge of statistical process control, design of experiments, reliability statistics and engineering strongly preferred
• Ability to program in macros
Preferred Qualifications: • Master's degree in Applied Statistics preferred but not required
• Excellent analytical and verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and multi task
• Ability to program in Microsoft Office tools preferred such as Visual Basic for applications
• Ability to use Excel's embedded probability and statistics ""Functions""
• Ability to use Minitab and its macros
• Ability to perform Monte Carlo simulation preferred
