Reporting directly to the site General Manager and as an integral member of the site leadership team, this position's key accountabilities are:
. Manage all aspects of the maintenance of production equipment, technical and maintenance-related systems, buildings and grounds for the facility, including responsibility for a $1 million maintenance budget; . Capital improvement project management; . Manage the CMMS and preventive maintenance programs; . Plan, organize and direct maintenance manpower to meet production requirements and ensure downtime is kept to a minimum; . Coach, motivate, train and effectively manage the performance of eight to ten hourly, multi-skilled maintenance mechanics on a 24/7 schedule, and a maintenance supervisor; . Ensure adherence to proper safety and sanitation regulations and policies/procedures; . Actively identify and initiate process improvements to positively impact financial viability, service and product quality and customer satisfaction of the facility.
Position Requirements: . Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial or a General Engineering discipline; . 5 or more years of supervisory or leadership experience in engineering maintenance, must have Food Manufacturing experience, preferably in a RTE (ready to eat) food manufacturing environment; . Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems as well as gas systems, liquid propane,liquid nitrogen, boilers and ammonia refrigeration; . Working knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controls) . Experience in the implementation or management of a CMMS program (Computerized Maintenance Management System) . Waste treatment knowledge and experience; . Understanding of purchasing requirements and experience working with national contracts; . Project Management (capital improvements) and budget management experience; . Highly effective leadership and coaching skills, with a proven ability in coaching and developing others; . A dynamic personality style with the ability and willingness to promote appropriate change and improvement; . Excellent verbal and written communication skills; . Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships at all levels and maintain a positive working environment; . Solid computer, planning and problem-solving skills are a must; . Ability to work any shift and weekends to support 24/7 operation of the facility; . Experience in a union environment preferred; . Baking & confectionary, liquid processing or frozen food experience preferred . PSM (Process Safety Management) and good understanding of process control
