What You'll Do John Deere Cylinder Division located in Moline, IL is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to lead and manage the Product Verification & Validation (PV&V) activities for all hydraulic cylinder projects and programs using enterprise Product Development Process (PDP), Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP) and PV&V processes to ensure that product program goals are met. In addition, you will: * Perform required administrative duties related to performance management, salary pay plan, succession planning, resource planning, training and the development of direct reports which include wage technicians. * Develop, track and meet capital and expense budget for the PV&V test lab. * Develop and train less experienced employees in the PV&V and design areas. We need an excellent communicator, who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment. Ideally, you will have a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience. In addition, we require: * Knowledge of PV&V processes and execution methods within industry and Deere. * Knowledge of PDP and EPDP programs. * Knowledge of engineering principles, theory and practice as well as mobile equipment and hydraulic cylinder product knowledge. * Knowledge of data acquisition, analysis and duty cycle fatigue calculations. A strong candidate will also have: * Technical experience with the design and analysis of vehicle mechanical and hydraulic systems. * Product engineering and development experience. * PV&V execution and management experience. * Product program PDP and EPDP experience.
