Job Description Interior systems is looking for an organized, detail oriented Estimating Manager to work out of the Fond du Lac / Milwaukee facility. Under the direction of the Director of Operations, the Estimating Manager directs and coordinates the Estimating staff in the creation of detailed estimates to cost out projects as presented to them from the sales force.
Snapshot of role and responsibilities: ? Reviews preliminary and revised jobs and customer service quotes and develops pricing.
? Create and maintain databases of standard product costs and various market pricing models.
? Develops contracts utilizing finalized job pricing and prepares addendums as required.
? Schedules projects and jobs after they are received in estimating. Produces production summaries.
? Communicates project status to senior project manager and team members.
? Produces pricing for shipping orders to customers and for installation at customer site.
? Collaborates with several internal and external customers and vendors.
? Establishes and implements best practices and focus on continuous improvement initiatives
The Estimating Manager must demonstrate the ability to coach and develop the Estimating team to coordinate, expedite and facilitate efforts between the project manager and market managers to meet deadlines, budget, and completion of project estimates.
The qualified candidate must possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as requests for proposal, drawings, and customer specifications. Communicate effectively with the sales force and other employees of the organization
Provide guidance and leadership to the members of the estimating staff, including day to day management of the estimating staff; workload, work hours, PTO, performance evaluations, etc.

Required Skills Minimum of Bachelors degree and three to seven years of estimating experience in similar industries (construction, furniture manufacturing, cabinetry, retail fixture manufacturing, interior design, or other project based industries), with a minimum of two years in a supervisory or management role. A Masters degree is preferred.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in Lean Six Sigma tools, Green Belt (or higher) certification desired. Must be highly competent in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Access, and ERP Systems (Manage 2000 experience a plus). Proficient in internet navigation to locate materials and products, and corresponding pricing. CPE Certification preferred.
