Fabric Worker

I'm a costume designer who got a little in over her head with orders recently in the mad dash to pay my bills, so now I'm falling really behind. I'm looking for someone with sewing knowledge, especially pattern drafting cutting and piecing, to help me get these orders out the door. Basically it's mostly simple stuff. I deal with a lot of straight lines and angles. There will be lining and some potentially tricky fabrics involved such as velvet and silk., so experience with those fabric types are a plus. I'm not going to lie, you're going to be doing some bitch-work. Cutting patterns and fabric for the most part, but definitely sewing as well. If you want to help me sew, just offer your own sewing machine, it needn't be anything fancy, because God knows I do all of my work on a crappy little plastic Singer. You will also be helping me brainstorm on some patterns, so feel free to bring any supplies you may have because I definitely don't have enough to share. I have no formal education in sewing (yet), this is something I've taught myself and I consider myself pretty good, so I would LOVE to have a college student teach me some tricks also, however, anyone who meets the qualifications can apply. I do request that you send me a brief work history or samples though, just so I know what you can do. It's a trust thing. Also, if you're a student and you can somehow get credit for this as an internship, let me know what I have to do. Yes, you will be paid. It won't be a LOT, it may be partially in food and bad puns, but you will be paid. I was thinking $100 paid over the course of the project depending on how long I need you for.
