Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Welder Trade Certification, 4th Period Apprentice Experience: No experience Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English Major Work Area: Construction, New fabrication Type of Establishment/Work Setting Experience: Industrial Area of Specialization: Custom fabrication Type of Machine Experience: Arc welding machines Materials: Steel, iron and heavy metals Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs) Specific Skills: Interpret welding process specifications, Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment Additional Skills: Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications Security and Safety: Basic security clearance Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety glasses/goggles, Safety harness, Gloves Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Own vehicle, Willing to travel regularly, Valid driver's licence Essential Skills: Reading text, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Problem solving Employer: Quality Millwright and Machine Services Ltd.
