Position Overview/Summary:

The Fabricator will perform all kinds of welding, polishing, blending, and cutting, using gas and electric welding equipment for Leading Edge Facility located on the North Side of Houston near Bush International Airport.
Position Qualifications (Required and Preferred):

Required:
* 3-5 yrs experience in welding GTAW, GMAW, and SMAW.
* Must be able to read blue-prints and decipher mathematic equations.
* Ability to pass TIG welding bend test on stainless steels, cobalt and nickel based superalloys
* Ability to pass GMAW (MIG) and SMAW (Stick) welding test.
* GTAW (TIG) welding experience on stainless steels, cobalt, hardened steel and nickel based superalloys.
Preferred:
* Auto body repair finishing (contour blending) experience a plus
* Completion of formal apprenticeship program, or completion of in-company training program to satisfaction of Foreman/Production Manager. Level classification determined by experience/qualifications
* Basic reading, writing, some arithmetic skills, computer skills required
Position Responsibilities and Duties:

* Fabricates tooling/fixtures by cutting, burning, and welding various metals.
* Receives instructions, prints, and work routers for the job. Reviews details of working procedure, tools and material requirements.
* Disassembles and Assembles work piece(s) using heating and cutting equipment
* Repairs work piece(s) by using welding/blending techniques and appropriate equipment/tooling.
* Keeps equipment, tooling and work area clean, orderly and secure.
* Uses measuring equipment to ensure proper dimensions given in drawings or instructions.
* Performs minor NDT (Red Dye/PT) inspections.
* Submerged Arc welding .
* Adheres to all Safety Standards set forth by Dresser-Rand.
