Facilities Electrical Engineering Specialist
The Facilities Electrical Engineering Specialist is responsible for assessing electrical maintenance records of various electrical/utility systems and equipment at Chrysler's manufacturing facilities. In addition, the position assesses electrical condition of various electrical/utility systems and equipment at Chrysler's manufacturing facilities. This position creates long term capital improvement plans based upon assessment results, and develops work packages for building electrical systems. The Facilities Electrical Engineering Specialist also provides technical direction for building and processing power distribution, and provides studies and analysis for facilities' power demand. This position reviews facilities' existing power system and future expansions, and develops schedules and manages work load for new programs requiring electrical building modifications. This position alsoimproves building trade work force efficiencies, cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction. In addition this position will review and enhance preventive maintenance procedures on facilities' power systems.
Required Qualifications: • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university with a major in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
• 10 years of experience in electrical engineering with minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical project engineering and automotive facilities
• Monitoring, scheduling and supervising construction activities
• Cost control of capital projects
• Project reporting to management
• Knowledge with the operation/maintenance of plant facilities, such as; HVAC systems, Chillers, compressors, medium/Low voltage substations, boilers, and emergency generators
• Familiar with preventive and proactive maintenance concepts
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Familiar with national building, fire, and electrical codes
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Must be customer service focused, and able to work well with others
Preferred Qualifications: • 10 years' experience in automotive manufacturing environment
• Master's degree
• Familiar with Chrysler building and electrical specification
• Prior project management experience is desirable.
• CAD skills
