Specific Responsibilities Include: . Management and oversight of the specialty gas and chemical Section Managers and staff focusing on improving all areas of the employee life cycle including new hire sourcing, performance management, and employee growth and development . Responsible for balancing a multi-million dollar specialty area departmental budget and managing the spend in areas of ownership . Continuously improve specialty area operation, safety performance, and cost control . Partner with Fab management and complete analytical yield analysis to meet production improvement goals . Effectively facilitate discussions, agreements, and deadlines with people on project teams . Proactively involve others in planning, decision making and implementation to ensure well coordinated construction, start-up and on-going Fab operation. . Ensure that project goals and objectives are met and identify resolution as barriers develop . Independently prioritize work and establish QGA's for management approval . Directly manage and interface with turnkey suppliers and contractors guaranteeing the highest quality of service to FAB 8. . Establish a strong working relationship with Fab manufacturing, operations, and engineering management . Participate on the Worldwide Facilities team and help standardize best practices world wide . Establish a work environment characterized by mutual trust and respect, open and honest communications, teamwork and a passion for winning. . Develop and enforce effective preventive maintenance and safety procedures . Interface closely with Tool Hookup Team, Process Lateral Systems, and Fab Operations to ensure smooth startup and continued operations that are seamless to the Fab Operations team.
Required Qualifications: . Bachelor of Science degree in Science or Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of high purity hazardous chemical/gas operations and facilities leadership experience . Strong leadership, management, coaching and organizational skills . Must possess good written and oral communication skills and be able to manage and motivate employees . Strong problem solver and planner with organizational and analytical ability . A self starter with ability to work effectively as an individual with minimal direction, and as part of a larger team . Ability to effectively communicate technical information and solutions to peers, subordinates and operations' customers . Demonstrate ability to work well within a global matrixed team or environment. . Occasional domestic and/or international travel required . Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications: . Knowledge of tools utilized for scheduling and tracking assets. . Ability to work with numerous vendors worldwide and Global Supply Management (GSM) and Procurement teams. . Fab start-up and commissioning experience desired . Semi conductor industry experience
