Facilities Plant Maintenance Specialist B\C

Basic knowledge of building codes, regulations and safety procedures. Under general supervision, demonstrates increased skill level in construction to include rough-in and lay-out. Is able to read basic blueprints and becomes familiar with building codes. Under general supervision, provides general support in response to routine trouble calls. Demonstrated understanding of customer service concepts. Under general supervision, demonstrates increased skill level in the repair and maintenance of plant and office facilities. Uses power tools under general supervision. Under general supervision, uses hand and power tools to construct, renovate and repair facilities and equipment. Under general supervision, uses hand and power tools to construct, renovate and repair facilities and equipment. With limited supervision, constructs commercial office space by providing overall construction capabilities. Is familiar with building codes and is able to read more complex blueprints. Responds to trouble calls and resolves a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Repairs and maintains plant and office facilities equipment and demonstrates advanced skill level in these areas. Is able to interpret basic schematics and diagrams. May provide guidance to less experienced employees. Under general guidance, reviews customer requirements and may evaluate product capabilities. Has demonstrated ability to use a variety of hand and power tools to construct, renovate and repair facilities and equipment. May receive specialized equipment training. May provide training to peers and/or customers on the general use of equipment. Has ability to diagnose and repair complex precision positioning machinery with servo drives controlled with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) or Computer Numerical Control (CNC). Knowledgeable of working on equipment in a clean room environment is a plus, Should have knowledge of precision measurement techniques/tools, high speed spindles, composite manufacturing equipment and volt ohm meters for testing electrical circuits. Mechanical and or electrical skills is required to maintain complex manufacturing equipment. Knowledgeable of Composite Manufacturing Equipment, Autoclaves, Automatic Fiber TOW Placement, Autofastening, 5 Axis Trim, High Speed Spindles, and robotoics is a plus. Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office Suite Programs is a plus.

Candidate should possess knowledge of industrial manufacturing environment, must be capable of working at elevated heights. Knowledge of industrial electrical, variable speed drives, servo controls, and PLC (Programmable Logic Controls) is required. Knowledge of mechanical equipment for pumps, gear boxes and precision positioning equipment is a plus.

Basic Qualifications For Consideration

Do you have previous experience working with precision positioning equipment?

Do you have previous experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment?

Do you have previous experience working with Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Equipment?

Do you have previous experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)?

Typical Education/Experience
Level B - High school diploma or GED and typically 1 or more years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Level C - High school diploma or GED and typically 4 or more years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Job related information
Must have experience working with CNC type manufacturing equipment. Familiarity with Composite Manufacturing Equipment is desired. Experience working in a team based environment is desired. Good communication skills are required. Mechanical and electrical/electronic skills are desired. Good computer skills are desired.
