This is a technical hands on position for an experienced mechanic to operate our boiler room with all related equipment. An extensive background with low pressure steam boilers, combustion technology & controls, make up feed water systems, water chiller & cooling tower technology and water treatment chemistry is essential.
Perform daily rounds,make systematic adjustments, maintain data logs.
Make in the field repairs & recommend improvements.
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks.
Perform water tests and make chemical dosage adjustments.
Perform support to EHS & other facilities needs.
Coordinate tasks & contracted work with multiple vendors.
Overtime expected/required.
Travel Required: less than 10% Basic Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required.
Must have Class 2 license.
Selection of the mechanic will be based on a minimum of 5+ years of hands on experience performing the responsibilities listed above in a manufacturing facility with as many of the systems mentioned in the position objective.
Candidate will be required to wear proper PPE equipment including sound protection, safety glasses, gloves, etc when needed. Position requires contact and dosing of water treatment chemicals. Physical requirements of the position include working in and around hot equipment, climbing ladders, bending, and lifting of supplies up to 50 lbs.
Must be US citizen or Green Card holder. % Travel Required: < 10%
