FDTC - Think Big Academy Construction Tech I Trainee Location: Raleigh, NC Employment Type: Full Time Office: Mebane Description: Description: To provide training for entry-level service technicians for Gregory Poole Equip Co throughout North Carolina. Students will develop skills to be productive with limited on-the-job training following graduation. This two-year program is designed to prepare entry-level service technicians for Gregory Poole Equip Co throughout North Carolina. Students will develop skills to be productive with limited on-the-job training following graduation. Essential duties: Attend FDTC on a vigorous 24 month schedule while also working for a local GPEC facility during semester breaks. Prerequisites for Entrance into this Program: Interview with Program Advisor, Director, or Sponsor Minimum Cumulative GPA of 2.5. Education: HS Diploma or equivalent. Must pass mandated company physical/drug screen and background check. Other: NOTE: Students must have satisfactory ACT, COMPASS, or SAT test scores for entrance into this program. Some programs require that all entrance test scores must be no more than five years old. Please check with your specific program. Students who do not meet curriculum entrance requirements may be placed in developmental courses to improve basic skills. Graduation Requirements Complete all required courses specified in the curriculum. Fulfill all financial obligations to the College. Achieve a Graduation GPA of 2.0 for all courses presented as meeting a program?s course requirements. Earn at least 25 percent of the total credit hours of his/her curriculum at FDTC. Exceptions can be made only by the Vice President for Academic Affairs. Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 is required for continuation in and graduation from the Caterpillar Dealer Service Technician Program.
