Responsibilities:
Engineering
Assemble and test next generation connectors, cables and systems for single and multifiber Enterprise applications. Assist Development Engineers in testing new fiber optic manufacturing processes including assembly procedures and polishing methods. Develop new test methods to validate fiber system performance and analyze system test results. Write and execute DVT test plans to test out new fiber optic components and systems. Setup and configure test setups, fixtures, and instrumentation as required by the test plans. Ensure the accuracy and consistency of data results through thorough documentation processes. Requirement:
Must have college degree plus extensive experience with test procedures, methodologies and test equipment, particularly in the area of fiber optic testing Must demonstrate a thorough understanding of fiber optic test methods and equipment, particularly in SM and MM applications Demonstrated familiarity with data acquisition systems, data analysis and processing. Requires knowledge of emerging Enterprise network implementations as well as industry standards relating to Enterprise fiber optic applications. Must be self starter and capable of supporting test process from start to completion with minimal supervision. Must work well in a team environment.
