Fiberline Shift Supervisor Brunswick, GA Cellulose Mill
 
 
This role has overall responsibility for shift operations in the fiberline department at the Brunswick Mill. The Brunswick Mill manufactures fluff pulp used in disposable absorbent products such as baby diapers and air-laid nonwovens.  The fiberline department includes long log woodyard and purchased chip processing, batch digesters, brownstock washing and screening, oxygen delignification and elemental chlorine free bleaching.  The shift supervisor focuses on safely improving productivity and reducing costs through efficient process/ equipment operation and operator knowledge/skill improvement.
 
Responsibilities:
 
Supporting the Mill vision.
 
The ability to lead a shift production team focusing on the following:

• Embrace MBM Framework and the 10 Guiding Principles while promoting and supporting the role Reliability has at Brunswick Cellulose.
• Achieving 10,000% compliance in Environmental, Health and Safety.
• Achieving its targets for EHS, Quality, Costs, Reliability & Production.
• Problem solving and resolution of issues
• Facilitate team development and growth
• Employee skill development
• Employee ownership and accountability

  
Required Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years experience in pulp manufacturing.
• Manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Good analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of safe work practices.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively teach, coach and mentor.
• Strong leadership skills, ability to motivate teams to exceed expectations.
• Ability to appraise performance and provide feedback and hold employees accountable.
• Bachelors degree in technical discipline.
• Ability to work rotating 12 hour shifts.
• Must be able to work extended hours during production upsets or maintenance repairs.

Preferred

• A minimum of 5 years supervisory experience.
• A minunum of 10 years experience in the Pulp & Paper Industry in Production.
• BS Chemical Engineering or Pulp and Paper Technology.
