Title: Financial Controller Location: United Kingdom (Great Britain)-Plymouth Job's Mission:
· To manage the finance team and function for the Plymouth Plant.
· Working within broadly defined guidelines to act as subject matter expert providing policy advice to the business group leadership teams.

Main Responsibilities:
1. Key business partner working with the plant manager and his staff to run the daily activities of the plant. 2. Partners with all plant staff and plant manager to drive the financial performance to the appropriate targets as identified in the STRAP, AOP and forecasts 3. Partners with the plant manager in determining strategic plan, AOP and forecast 4. Key lead in driving financial performance and working with the organization to drive for cost improvements, initiatives and KPI targets 5. Leads site accounting activities including developing accounting processes consistent with Invensys Controls business, deploying standard processes, ensuring compliance with corporate accounting policies and ensuring appropriate standards of internal control exist and are followed. 6. Ensures the site is compliant with IFRS, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Statutory accounting requirements. Accountable to Group Financial Controller, Corporate Controller and Business CFO. 7. Drives initiatives in Finance/Accounting relating to the following areas in the plant: general accounting, cost accounting, accounts payable, property accounting, monthly closing procedures, intercompany and provision/accrual activities. 8. Ensures all financial reporting is completed accurately and timely. 9. Keeps the Supply Chain and Manufacturing Controller advised of all potential operational issues. 10. Engages and directs leverage shared services to produce deliverables and achieve milestones. Technical Experience and Knowledge Required:
· Successful track record of experience operating as a senior finance manager or plant controller in a manufacturing environment; · Experience of general accounting and/or audit/internal controls; · Experience working internationally in an accounting or finance role - preferably in a matrixed organisation; · Proven experience managing and supervising an accounting/finance staff Experience implementing a general ledger system · Experience with SaaS, Hyperion a plus · Experience with large general ledger tools required · Experience working in matrix organization and a shared service environment · Excellent Understanding of Cost Accounting and General Accounting; · Ability to understand complex processes and project management requirements;

Education Required: · Fully qualified Management/Cost Accountant · General Education to A level minimum
Languages : · English (corporate language) · Business level knowledge of another European language desirable, German an advantage.
