We are seeking a strong financial leader to work with Business Unit executive management. This position will report to the VP Finance of the Business Unit.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading the BU forecasting and annual planning processes, including: - analyzing the global business and reporting to executive leadership. - working with functional stakeholders to achieve buy-in on plan assumptions, and - providing guidance to operating locations.
* Coordinating and delivering monthly/quarterly reporting requirements to Alcoa.
* Primary driver of quarterly and monthly business reviews of the business results, plans and strategies.
* Determining and implementing, in conjunction with BU leadership, targeted goals for profitability, productivity, cycle time, inventory, delivery and quality.
* Coordinating with three Segment Controllers in driving financial processes and strategies at operating locations.
* Implementing and continuously improving daily performance management system.
* Mentoring the finance, manufacturing and commercial organizations to promote a better understanding of financial tools and metrics designed to enhance profitability.
* Analyzing financial data, identifying and reporting progress toward budget commitments, financial performance achievements and trends, and identifying opportunities to influence financial performance.
* Managing and developing the Operations Analyst through cross functional training and building development plan.
* Performing financial analysis for special projects, as required.
Basic Qualifications Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting
* At least 7 years of related financial/controllership experience, including 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment
* Experience in using queries, including ESSbase, Hyperion, Oracle or similar systems
* Strong analytical and decision making skills
* Strong organizational skills in relation to managing multiple projects with tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
* MBA and/or CPA
* Ability to work in a high pressure high intensity environment where you will be asked to perform on numerous requests
* Ability to effectively present forecast and monthly performance results to plant and Business Leadership
