Financial Planning Analyst Job Responsibilities

Due to continued growth, we have an opportunity for a Financial Planning Analyst at our Milprint Division in Oshkosh, WI
The Financial Planning Analyst is responsible for providing insightful operational and financial information to the division leadership. While this position reports to the Director of Finance and it is expected that the successful candidate will work with leaders across all functional areas to provide accurate and actionable analysis.
DUTIES
* Develop and provide management team with meaningful financial and operational performance metrics and trend reports.
* Analyze operating and financial results to identify trends and activities driving those results and makes recommendations on potential changes, both operational and financial in nature, to improve performance.
* Assist operations in analyzing procedural improvement opportunities
* Work closely with sales & marketing to understand the margin impact of customer proposals.
* Coordinate and prepare the Company's annual operating plan and quarterly financial forecasts.
* Coordinate and prepare the Company's capital plan
* Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting for Milprint and for Bemis Company - Includes balance sheet and income statement along with supporting schedules
* Productivity Analysis (FTEs, Machine Utilization).
* Support audit process with fluctuation analysis.
* Perform various ad hoc financial analysis as necessary
* Conduct special projects involving financial analysis or interpretation of data and trends wherever needed in support of finance, sales, marketing, and operations.
* Prepare tax and governmental reporting for Bemis Company Education & Experience Required
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 3 to 7 years of related experience required.
* MBA or CPA preferred but not required.
* ERP experience - SAP a plus
* Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
Skills & Abilities Needed
1. Skills
* Full working knowledge of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting
* Financial modeling and analysis experience
* Self-Starter who is approachable and comfortable working with personnel across all disciplines.
* Able to identify areas of opportunity and initiate process improvement
* Highly organized with the ability to work on multiple projects at any given time.
* Flexible with proven track record of meeting deadlines.
* Experience with month-end close procedures
* Experience in annual budget preparation, and short term forecasting.
* Excellent Microsoft Excel & Access skills required
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently
