The Flexo Supervisor is responsible for the safe operation of all of the printing equipment, quality and quantity of product produced within the printing department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Ensure the safe operation of all of the printing and supporting equipment. ? Train subordinates in all phase of the printing and die cutting. ? Monitor equipment efficiency. ? Develop and implement an action plan for areas of inefficiencies. (production, equipment and personnel) ? Order all presses consumable items. ? Provide leadership and direction to subordinates performing daily duties. ? Training of subordinates in color reproduction. (ink mixing and color matching) ? Perform other related duties to contribute to the success of the operation as assigned by manager. Required Skills: *5+ years experience serving as a supervisor in the web flexographic industry. operating a web platen die cutterflexo press --wide format preferred. *High school diploma or G.E.D. *This individual will need to have good problem solving skills, be mechanically inclined, possess a strong safety conscience and a good work ethic. *Ability to read, write & understand English. *Basic computer skills a must. *Able to communicate effectively, get along with coworkers & management and deal effectively & professionally under pressure.
