Footwear Product Director NSW Lab (Sports Marketing/Retail)
As our Footwear Product Director - NSW Lab, you'll set the strategic footwear product agenda for a particular category across all functions and regions. You'll drive and focus the category team on consumer and market-oriented concepts. You'll keep global awareness as a product and team priority and challenge the team to stay close to the market and our company's competitors. Depending on category, you'll give guidance to Asia and Europe on products. You'll also monitor team performance and be proactive on any needed changes within the group. You'll identify line priorities and target major market opportunities. You'll develop product strategy to address channels within key markets and align the product line with corporate direction, cross-divisional initiatives and the brand. You'll also coach, lead and inspire the category team. You'll create an inspiring and collaborative environment that facilitates innovation, stability and strength. You'll act as a member of our company's Management team and focus on team building across the organizational matrix. You'll also drive HR competencies through the organization. You'll set the innovation agenda, integrate it into the product line and push it through the appropriate channels in the division (NSRL, Design, Development, etc.). This opportunity also involves managing product costs and targeting FOB. You'll ensure design and production costs are rationalized with market and consumer interests and continuously search for economies that produce the best cost to performance ratio. In addition, you'll manage operations and processes while focusing attention on meeting deadlines and specifications.
Requirements for the position include:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Retail Merchandising or a related field - 2 years' additional experience in lieu of a degree - 8 years' progressively related experience - Must have previous or comparable experience as a Footwear Product Director with another category - Product line experience and product knowledge - Ability to elevate coaching and mentoring - Experience at a global or regional level is preferred - International experience preferred - Ability to travel up to 15% of time, including internationally
