Georgia Pacific Corrugated in Asheboro, NC, is a manufacturer of corrugated containers. We currently have General Floor Helper openings, which are entry-level positions in the plant. The starting wage is $11.11 per hour. General Floor Helpers assist on machine centers performing tasks such as feeding the machines, manning the Load Formers, getting up stock, and helping with machine set ups. General Floor Helpers have the opportunity to advance as openings occur.
Basic Qualifications: - Committed to maintaining strict adherence to safety rules & regulations required
- Willingness to wear Personal Protective Equipment as specified required
- Ability to work in a hot, humid, noisy, and high volume machine production area required
- Ability to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks for extended periods (lifting, walking, pushing, pulling, etc.) required
- Willingness to work 12 hour shifts, overtime, and weekends / holidays as scheduled required
- Basic computer skills required
- Mechanical aptitude in order to troubleshoot machine problems required
- Manufacturing experience within the corrugated packaging field preferred
Applicants must be available to work any of 3 production shifts and any overtime as scheduled.
