Responsibilities:
The position of the General Laborer is the entry level position into the plant. The person selected for this position must be flexible and open to change in their day to day responsibilities and schedules as their job duties vary from day to day. The general laborer position must be willing to advance as other opportunities and openings occur in the plant.
Education:
High school diploma or GED
Basic Qualification(s)
Ability to work 12 hour shifts, overtime, and weekends as required
Basic Computer Skills
Ability to work in a tobacco free environment
Manufacturing experience preferred
Knowledge – Skills – Abilities:
Committed to safety and addressing safety issues
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment
Ability to work in a hot, humid, noisy, and high volume machine production setting.
Applicants must be available to work any 3 production shifts (the approximate shift schedules are11:00 pm - 7:00am;7:00am-3:00pm; or3:00pm-11:00pm) and scheduled overtime, including occasional weekend work.
Applicants meeting the criteria above must successfully pass a pre-employment test, interview, background investigation, and drug screening in order to qualify for full-time employment. Candidates selected for employment must sign a confidentiality agreement upon the first day of hire.
