Description
Georgia-Pacific, Modesto is currently hiring General Laborers
This facility makes corrugated boxes. General Laborers will be assigned to tasks that involve physical labor assembling boxes from raw materials to finished product, making computer entries, and following safety and quality procedures.
All applicants must meet the following criteria:
* Committed to safety and organizational goals
* Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment as required
* Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy and high volume machine production area
* Ability to work 12 hour shifts, overtime, weekends and holidays
* Must be able to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks for extended periods (lifting, walking, climbing and stooping)
* Mechanical aptitude in order to troubleshoot machine problems
* Basic computer skills
* High School diploma or GED
* Manufacturing experience preferred
Applicants must be available to work any of the three production shifts (7:00am-3:00pm; 3:00pm-11:00pm; 11:00pm-7:00am) and scheduled overtime, including occasional weekend work.
Applicants meeting criteria above must successfully pass a pre-employment test, interview, background investigation and drug screening in order to qualify for full-time employment.
