Description
Georgia-Pacific's San Francisco Bay packaging plant has a need for Production operators. Tasks include: Operating machinery to expected performance levels. Use basic hand tools to make minor machine repairs, read tape measure to set up machine for production runs, troubleshoot machinery and make minor machine adjustments. Use computer to enter data after production runs. Basic Qualifications: Production experience in a heavy manufacturing environment, preferably 2 years. Must be available to work any shift. Weekends, holidays, and overtime work may be required with little or no advance notice. Ability to lift 50 pounds routinely, stand for prolonged periods of time, wear steel-toed shoes and other required personal protective equipment. Willingness to work in a hot, humid, cold, noisy and tobacco free environment. Must pass pre-employment test, drug test, and background investigation. Key Responsibilities: * · Have a high regard for personal safety and the safety of others · Be able to perform tasks wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as: Protective clothing, safety glasses/goggles, steel-toed boots, etc.
