A glaze prep operator operates production equipment, monitors production parameters, inspects or test product for comformance to specifications, records data, and makes decisions on when to adjust the process or contact supervision for guidance. Responsibilities:
* Operate production equipment according to standard operating procedures. * Conduct tests or inspections as required on the control plan and according to test methods. * Perform additional job tasks as documented in the job task check sheet. * Help to maintain team environment by cooperation and communication. * Maintain a clean workstation, conform to all safety requirements, and be at workstation at shift change. * The Production Operator has the authority to stop production equipment when a safety, quality, or mechanical problem prevents equipment use or conformance to product requirements.
Qualifications:
* Ability to communicate and understand written and verbal instructions in English. * Basic math and record keeping skills. * Physical ability to climb stairs and ladders, stand for long periods of time, work on high platforms, work in a wet or slightly dusty environment, and lift 50 pounds.
