Overview:
Macy's Logistics and Operations a division of Bloomingdale's and Macy's Department Stores, including has a great opportunity for a Manager of Operations in our Houston, TX Distribution Facility. The Manager of Operations coordinates and oversees the day-to-day operations of the Small Ticket processes. Manages the daily receiving, processing, and shipping activities insuring freight is received, processed and shuttled to the Division in an accurate and timely manner with the least amount of expense and to insure all processes are done safely.
Responsibility:
Understanding of total Distribution processes.
Partner with Director to ensure DC polices and procedures are well-documented, communicated and best practices are consistently applied across the facility.
Insure proper staffing levels are met to achieve productivity goals.
Supervise, develop, performance appraisals on direct reports
Manage, coach, develop and provide leadership for non-exempt associates on a daily basis with an emphasis on openness, receptivity to feedback and a high level of integrity.
Participate on related Six Sigma projects and process management teams
Ensure company safe work methods are adhered to.
Any other function management deems essential
