Alliance Precision Plastics is a growing custom injection molder with two facilities on Rochester's west side. We are looking for experienced Setup / Process Technicians on all shifts for our injection molding operation. Must be able to perform multiple set-ups and changeovers as required in a fast-paced work environment. Familiarity with a variety of injection molding presses is helpful; including Engel, Cincinnati, Arburg and Toshiba. Able to work with a variety of materials and resins. Knowledge of equipment and processing parameters is expected. Basic Job Duties *Install molds into injection molding presses, attaching all necessary plumbing and fluid lines, hot tip controllers, etc *Program molding process into machine control and start machine, making appropriate processing adjustments as needed to produce a quality part. *Monitor running machines for part quality and cycle time. Troubleshoot machine alarms. *Tear down existing set-ups, remove mold from machine as well as all equipment, fixtures, etc. when job is complete. *Interact with all employees and to assist machine operators when needed. *Uses hand trucks, jack lifts, skids, cranes, etc. in the performance of routine duties. Must be able to move heavy molds and materials as required by production. *Must be able to understand quality and FDA requirements to meet customer expectations. *Must be able to work outside normal working hours, overtime or alternate shifts to accommodate production needs when required. *Perform other related duties as assigned Requirements: *HS Diploma or GED required. *3-5 years experience in plastic injection molding machine setup / processing *Able to operate hand trucks, fork lifts, overhead cranes in order to move heavy molds and materials. *This is an extremely physical position that requires continual movement, standing, walking and lifting. * Able to work with various individuals in a workplace that values diversity Alliance Precision Plastics offers a competitive benefit package that includes medical, dental, paid time off, life insurance, short term & long term disability, flexible spending account, tuition reimbursement, and 401k with company match.
