Performs visual, mechanical, dimensional or electronic inspection of manufacturing goods during the various stages of the manufacturing process. Conducts dimensional and electrical inspection of sub-assemblies or final systems assemblies. May operate diagnostic equipment to test various electronic components or materials. May calibrate measuring equipment. Identifies workmanship and material defects, and prepares necessary documentation. Reads and interprets prints, manufacturing drawings, diagrams, wire cards and lists in approving or rejecting in-process or final assemblies. Recommends disposition of defective items. Acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routine ks on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgment. Has little or no role in mally receives detailed instructions on all work. Works under close supervision. High schoolTypically requires a minimum of 0 - 1 year of related experience.
