Job Description:
Key Job Elements:
Maintain satisfactory academic standing in college;
Perform work assignments to satisfaction of assigned departments;
Obtain knowledge of plant and its operations;
Make efficient use of time spent on work assignments;
Work cooperatively and efficiently with other personnel;
Perform special short-term assignments as they pertain to work area;
Occasional contact with others outside the work group;
Complete assignments within a department or activity which utilize the employee's academic discipline;
Assignments to include -
1. Ability to utilize various measuring instruments to perform engine disassembly analysis;
2. Ability to record and analyze measurement data based on instructions from supervisor;
3. Determine work flow sequence from various inputs and include in work instruction;
4. Utilize digital camera and transfer pictures in to work instructions;
5. Produce visual work instructions for various operations.
Qualifications (Required):
Pursuing a BS degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, GPA of 3.0/4.0 (B average), Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access, Oral and written communications skills, Some analytical ability where problems are not difficult or complex, Ability to work alone and with teams, Ability to convert verbal information into specific written instructions, Quick learner, Highly motivated, self-starter.
Qualifications (Preferred):
Interest in Diesel Engines, Course work in manufacturing processes such as machining metal parts, welding, casting, assembly, Course work or interest in Diesel engine operation and or manufacturing, Familiar with Diesel Engine operations, Familiar with turbo machinery operation, Ability to access welding standards and incorporate in to work instruction, Familiar with machine tool operation, Familiar with Process Engineering Function.
