IT Operations AnalystIT Operations Analyst December 14, 2011 - January 15, 2012 Location: Omaha, NE Exempt/Non-Exempt: Exempt Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, Life, 401K/Profit Sharing, Paid Vacations, Paid Holidays Employment Type: Full Time Department: Technology Description: This job is responsible for maintaining user PC hardware, administrating server software and providing quality front-line help desk support to NMC employees giving prompt and professional resolution of any computer-related problems with standard hardware, software or network/communications tools or services.
Duties: 1. Installs, configures and maintains server software. 2. Installs, diagnoses, repairs, maintains and upgrades all PC hardware. 3. Responds to requests for helpdesk issues. Diagnoses technical issues, determines possible solutions, researches issues using available resources and tests and implements solutions in a timely manner. Identifies and escalates issues requiring urgent attention. Ensures help desk requests are logged, assigned, and followed through in a timely manner. 4. Designs, maintains, and deploys software builds and releases for company infrastructure including development of scripts and installation procedures, and providing support for production runtime environment through issue tracking and problem resolution. 5. May perform other duties as required and assigned.
Additional Tasks/Secondary Job Functions:
? Creates and runs requested reports monthly. ? Maintains site licenses and required certifications as needed.
Qualifications: Education and Experience:
? Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems required or equivalent experience. ? Minimum of 5 years of help desk experience preferred. ? Experience with programming and maintenance of Avaya systems required. ? Excellent technical knowledge of PC and desktop hardware, including technical knowledge of PC internal component ? Certifications in MCITP with a focus on Windows Client, Windows Server and Microsoft Exchange Server preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
? Knowledge of and the ability to perform administration of the following Microsoft products: Operating Systems, Active Directory, Center Configuration/Service/Operation Manager, Hyper-V Manager, Office Communications, SQL Server, Exchange Server, and Forefront. ? Knowledge of and the ability to perform administration of Symantec Endpoint Protection, Barracuda Firewall and UNIT4 CODA. ? Knowledge of computer and/or network security systems, applications, procedures and techniques. ? Skills in organizing resources and establishing priorities. ? Excellent customer service, listening, verbal and written communication skills along with positive, professional, and friendly skills required. ? Skills in hardware troubleshooting/repair, client e-mail/software/remote end user support, and NT experience. ? Must possess strong organizational, time management and follow-up skills. ? Skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.). ? Ability to perform administration of one-off industry specific software such as ET (electronic trainer), DSI (dispatching solutions inc.), DBS (dealer business system). ? Ability to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides. ? Ability to perform software license administration. ? Ability to work flexible hours to include on-call support. ? Ability to maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the end-users on the network. ? Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical personnel. ? Ability to identify and resolve computer system malfunctions and operations problems. ? Ability to learn and support new systems and applications. ? Ability to work well as a team member. ? Ability to travel less than 10% of time.
