Job Description: Job#: JID1034449 This Business Analyst position reports to IT and works very closely on a daily basis withRockTenn?s Payroll, Benefits, and HR departments. The position is responsible for enhancing, problem-solving and leading IT projects related to HR, Payroll and Benefits. Additionally, the position provides day-to-day operational support for the Payroll, Benefits and HR departments. This is an important position within the company as the Payroll processing and some Benefits administration is done in-house. Currently, several HR and Payroll projects are underway which require the guidance, leadership and hands-on efforts of a seasoned professional in this area.
Position responsibilities include: * Assisting with and leading as appropriate various IT-related projects supporting the Benefits, Payroll, and HR Departments. Provide guidance on processes, best practices, and effective use of technology to create positive change. * Designing and supporting interfaces between Infinium payroll systems on the AS400 and Kronos time keeping on an SQL server, as well as numerous third-party providers/systems external to RockTenn. * Supporting thePayroll, Benefits and HR department with benefits administration and payroll processing on in-house software applications. * Providing consultative services to end users for current enhancements and future projects, including support. * Working with outside IT resources (contractors) where required to meet the needs of the user community. * Managing the IT relationship with the Payroll, Benefits, and HR user community, partnering and serving as the day-to-day contact and communication conduit. * Effectively receiving input on and assisting with determining IT-related project / work task priorities across the Payroll, Benefits and HR departments. Insure work is conducted to these priorities along with the leaders of those departments. Required Skills: Skills/Knowledge Required: * Extensive experience implementing and supporting Infinium Payroll and HR modules including functional knowledge, configuration, and data structures / data tables. * Time and attendance / timekeeping software implementation and support, including integration to Infinium Payroll. Kronos knowledge is preferred. * Strong business analysis skills with a detailed working knowledge of payroll and benefits administration processes. * Ability to document user requirements and write specification documents, including ability to decompose and document processes, and design/redesign processes. * Working knowledge of AS400/i-series operating system / platform and ability to support the Infinium Payroll/HR application running in that environment. * Ability to understand other non-Infinium systems and determine how to successfully integrate them to the Infinium Payroll / HR modules. * Ability to work with end-users and end-user management effectively to understand needs and prioritize work. * Training skills / ability to instruct end-users effectively on the use of technology. * Strong communication skills, ability to articulate ideas clearly * Leadership skills, ability to manage expectations, handle difficult situations * Desire and ability to lead and suggest change; strong capability to identify improvements, develop implementation plans, and execute against those plans. * Ability to understand and adapt to new technologies / technology platforms. * Ability to organize and plan work to meet goals and deadlines. * Fundamental project management skills, ability to decompose work into component tasks and understand resource commitments. * Ability to coordinate the work of others. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects running simultaneously.
Skills/Knowledge Desired: * Kronos Time and Attendance implementation and support. * Implementation / understanding of and use of the WebTop Infinium interface. * Experience using Showcase Query. * Experience implementing and supporting Infinium Employee and Manager Self-service. * Experience implementing third party talent management solutions such as Success Factors and integrating to Infinium Payroll/HR modules. * RPG Programming skills. * Experience in a workplace using Scrum / Agile work methodologies. * College degree is desirable.
Travel Requirements: Occasional travel to RockTenn plant locations may be required, anticipated less than 10%.
