An innovative, product-driven company that delivers oral care beauty products seeks Entry-Level Full Time Lab Technician to join the Product Development team in Santa Maria to aid in formulation and product testing under guidance from leads/supervisors. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Perform laboratory procedures and assays that do not require a license Apply knowledge of ingredient compatibility and mixing properties to safely handle, mix, and manipulate chemical materials Apply basic analytical methods Calibrate and operate lab instruments/equipment Search and obtain technical literature to solve low level technical problems Order new stock of chemical materials, supplies and equipment as necessary Manage sample inventory system (store, retrieve and aliquot samples and supplies) Perform quality control, routine maintenance on various laboratory equipment and cleanliness of laboratory Maintain production and submission records Perform other duties as assigned Education & Required Qualifications Minimum with Associate Science Degree. Bachelors of Science degree is preferred. Scientific background, especially in chemistry, biochemistry or microbiology, with strong understanding of chemical and physical properties is a plus. Minimum of 1-3 years of laboratory experience Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and tidy Accurate and be able to process samples of multiple projects without switches Must be effective as member of a team Proven record of being reliable Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision Excellent written and verbal communication skills Must be able to adapt and handle a fast-paced environment Strong working knowledge of computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) Preferred Qualifications Formulation (not necessarily oral care) experience preferred Other analytical experience such as CE and MS is preferred Bachelor Degree in Science is preferred Benefits: Competitive compensation and benefits package, including health insurance.
