Description
Millennium Packaging, (a Georgia Pacific Company) is seeking to hire 2 General Labor workers, which is the entry point into the plant. The starting wage is $10.76 per hour. General labor work in a production capacity with an opportunity to advance as openings occur. There is a 90 day probationary period.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Eligible to work in the United States
* At least 1 year manufacturing experience
* Successful completion of pre-employment test, background check and drug screen
* Willingness to work any shift
* Willingness to work scheduled overtime including weekend work and holidays
* Willingness to work in a hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environment
* Willingness to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks for extended periods (lifting, walking, climbing, pushing, twisting, stooping)
* Willingness to wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, ear plugs, hard hat, steel toe boots, etc.)
* Willingness to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations
* Willingness to work in a tobacco free environment
* Willingness to sign a confidentiality agreement as condition of employment
PREFERRED:
* Corrugated box plant experience preferred
* Basic computer skills
KEYRESPONSIBILITES
* Adhere to all plant environmental guidelines, policies and procedures
* Help operate machinery to expected performance levels
* Assist crew members and work in team environment
* Help meet or exceed production waste and quality goals
* Assist with set-ups. troubleshooting and making minor machine adjustments
* Keep work area clean throughout shift
