Georgia Pacific is seeking to hire General labor workers, which is the entry point into the plant. The starting wage is $11.30 per hour. General labor work in a production capacity with an opportunity to advance as openings occur.  There is a 90 day probationary period. 

Duties:

Operate machinery to expected performance levels. Use basic hand tools to make minor machine repairs, read tape measure to set up machine for production runs, troubleshoot machinery and make minor machine adjustments. Use computer to enter data after production runs.

The following Basic Qualifications must be met:

Ability to work in a hot, humid, noisy, and high volume machine production area
Ability to work 12 hour shifts, overtime, and weekends/holidays
High school diploma or GED
Must be able to work shift work
Must be available to work any of 3 production shifts and scheduled overtime, including occasional weekend work.
Willingness to work in a tobacco free environment
Must adhere to strict safety rules and regulations.
Willingness to wear the necessary Personal Protection equipment (safety glasses, face shields, hearing protection, and safety shoes).
