Houston, TX Lead Expeditor Lead the project Expediting Team to ensure delivery of all material and documentation is effected to meet project need Manage the activities of the project Freight Forwarding Company and their resident office representative to ensure high performance and good visibility of status at an economical cost. Work with Suppliers and Package Manager cross functional teams to develop and implement strategies and plans to ensure delivery through rigorous and proactive performance management of suppliers. Sponsor and implement Supplier Performance Management training and techniques to promote consistent delivery from suppliers through clearly defined and communicated expectations, extending a performance culture of excellence. Develop a working culture to enable expediting team members to manage performance through a review process that focuses on a range of tactical, operational, business and strategic issues to ensure delivery against targets. Ensure Material Systems are maintained and updated with regard to current status for materials and documents Manage requirements for, and performance of, field expediting staff & working with the SQS Manager as appropriate. Provide and present reports, tabulated and graphical, to the project and client clearly identifying current status, potential risk pinch points and the solutions required to ensure that the required project delivery program is sustained. To support overall safe delivery of company goals, schedule and budget. Ensure work is executed in a safe and controlled manner with no detriment to personnel, fabric or environment
