In 2008, the Quality Organization within Chrysler became its own standalone function. Since then, the group has more than tripled in size. In setting high standards in the six types of quality: reliability, dissatisfaction, regulatory, perceived, performance, and service, Chrysler's product line and customer experience has improved dramatically. Currently we are seeking a Line Supervisor - Validation to join our Quality Organization at Chrysler's Belvidere Assembly Plant in Belvidere, Illinois. This position offers the selected candidate an opportunity to be an internal part of company whose focus is to change the automotive landscape. The Validation Line Supervisor is responsible for managing UAW work teams in a fast paced high volume automotive manufacturing environment to execute standardization of manufacturing quality enablers. The selected candidate will supervise hourly quality inspectors and repair area personnel and hold responsibility for various business metrics of the department. Additionally, the ideal candidate possesses a broad knowledge of manufacturing and quality landscape, presents outstanding teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills and unquestionable integrity.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE ARE:
• Provideing validation expertise and quality assurance guidance in compliance with documented quality procedures
• Supporting the establishment of procedures and guidelines related to validation activities
• Supporting the development of the validation documentation system
• Proactive and steadfast in the identification and resolution vehicle quality
• Swift and effective resolution of any nonconformance
• Demonstrated people management experience
• Quality-minded, critical thinker
Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in a technical field
• 3 years supervisory experience
• Ability to work a split shift pattern
• Strong background in managing personnel
• Documented use of MS Office tools
Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
