Logistics Technical Planner

The Logistics Technical Planner is responsible for optimizing the material flow including overseeing container and material display design and engineering. Optimize inbound logistic networks to reduce transportation and inventory cost. Lead, train and implement Kaizens to improve material flow and reduce non-value added activities.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management
• Minimum 5 years' experience in implementing lean packaging and material presentation, launching material storage solutions including kitting and sequencing cells
• Ability to perform dock and storage analysis and external logistics set up

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging preferred
• Candidate must have proven team building skills and be able to lead continuous improvement workshops with proven results
• Effective communication with all levels of management
• Understand and follow the World Class Manufacturing's Workplace Organization and Logistics 7 step process
• Coach, teach and work with a unionized workforce
