Job Description Summary: Summary:
Reporting to the Supervisor, as the Process Technician - Grinding, you will be responsible for grinding of large plated surfaces. Please note that this position is a steady night shift opportunity (11pm - 7am)
Primary responsibilities:
. Internal and external diameter grinding of large diameter plated surfaces (i.e. chrome, CAD, etc...)to specification . Act as a cross functional team member and support other processing applications as requested . Participate in lean initiatives (i.e. 5S, TPM, process improvement teams) . Communicate and co-ordinate priorities and process issues between operators and shifts . Observe and adhere to all safety policies and procedures . Use of Cranes to move parts . Perform other duties as required
Basic Qualifications: Qualifications: . Minimum qualifications include: Grade 12 diploma or equivalent plus recognized and accredited college /trade program or two (2) year at the Goodrich Trainee 00 level or three or more years (3+) prior outside Machining experience . At least 3 yrs of cylindrical grinding experience strongly required as well as 3yrs CNC knowledge required . Demonstrated knowledge of machine shop practices, including turning and milling, with an emphasis on grinding . Demonstrated ability to work to close tolerances and sound understanding of blueprint reading and all associated measuring equipment . Strong understanding of WHMIS .
