Job Description Summary: Summary:
Reporting to the Supervisor, as the Machine Shop Technician - Profiler, you will produce aircraft parts to drawing while operating a large Cincinnati 5 axis Profiler. This is primarily for machine 9697 and 9698, however, the successful candidate will be expected to multi-task and run all machines within the cell. Please note this is a steady weekend night shift position. You will work 30.5 hours but get paid for 37.5 hours. (Friday 6pm - Saturday 6am, Saturday 6am - Sunday 6am, Sunday 6pm - Monday 2am)
Primary responsibilities:
. Perform own set-ups by positioning and aligning tooling per set-up instructions using CNC programming language (G+M codes) while performing profile machining . Perform deep boring, outside diameter machining to hardened steel . Utilize micrometers, verniers, etc... . Maintain tolerances by observing operation and making necessary machine offset adjustments, cutter changes, and performing self inspection (SI&A) . Document actions in support of quality logs and communicate all discrepancies in machining to supervision . Perform work from set-up sheets, manufacturing process sheets and drawings . Support and promote continuous improvement in the cell . Perform other duties and multi-task as assigned Basic Qualifications: Qualifications: . Community College Diploma combined with 3 years' machining experience OR at least 5 years of machining experience in a similar environment OR Grade 12 Diploma or approved equivalent plus Community College Diploma OR 40 week machine shop course plus 1 year experience . C of Q strongly preferred . Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, utilize micrometers, verniers, etc., in support of quality requirements . Demonstrated ability to operate and use an overhead crane in a safe manner . Strong verbal and written communication skills (English) . Willingness to train and operate other machines in the cell and willingness to work overtime . Goodrich Core Foundation Competencies including Ethics, Integrity, Values and Trust .
