Daimler Trucks North America - Where great people do great things! Department Introduction - Positions will be located at the Portland, Oregon Western Star Truck Plant where 700 people are employed to produce Class 8 trucks. Western Star is a subsidiary of Daimler Trucks North Functions - Assemble or install truck components on a truck as instructed. Use required hand tools and supplied power tools in assigned task assembly or key process. Adhere to all safety standards. Reduce waste in work area. Release product to next work group complete based on quality and productivity standards. Capable of working in a team environment. Proficient on computer. Comfortable in a dynamic environment where you will have to learn mulitiple jobs and ic Qualifications - High School Diploma. One year assembly/production experience preferred Mechanical/Automotive experience preferred Certified Welder preferred Certified Mechanical Inspector preferred Bodywork experience preferred Ability to read electrical schematics preferredAdditional Information - Final candidate must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
