Machinist - Centerless Grinding Operator
Immediate openings available for skilled machinist with experience operating centerless grinding equipment. Summary: Set-up and operate twin-grip and lap grinding machines.
Specific Functions:
1. Perform duties to successfully operate all centerless grinders. 2. Independently set up and operate twin-grip, lap grinders, and operate miscellaneous grinding equipment. 3. Independently set up and run any operation on the line. 4. Troubleshoot all operations. 5. Perform minor maintenance and make machine adjustments. 6. Accurately and independently read and interpret blueprints and shop forms. 7. Prepare statistical process control charts and interpret results. 8. Properly gauge production to specific tolerances. 9. Maintain quality of output. 10. Use twin-grip and lap grinder, on-line and electronic gauging, and hand tools. 11. Perform necessary recordkeeping and paperwork. 12. Perform necessary preventative maintenance on machines as required. 13. Participate in team problem solving as part of the departmental continuous improvement process.
