Position Summary / Key Job Responsibilities: RTI Energy Systems, located in Spring, Texas, has a well respected reputation for specialty engineering, high quality manufacturing, exceptional fabrication, and on-time delivery in a constantly safe and reliable manner. HBM - Horizontal Boring Mill (1st and 2nd Shift)
Qualifications / Requirements:
Familiar with Toshiba HBM
Familiar with Tosnuc 999 and/or Fanuc controls
Familiar with Contouring head, back boring head and right 90 angle head
Minimum 3 years experience as a Machinists operating an HBM
Experience cutting multiple material types including Stainless Steel, Nickel Alloys, and Titanium
Experience machining oil field related product or other product with similar tolerances and requirements (+/- .001"")
Experience lining up long parts to hold end to end concentricity
Make own setups using 4-jaw chuck, steady rests, and tail stock as applicable
Work with programming to select appropriate tooling
Read and machine to multiple page drawings/blue prints
Edit programs as needed (writing complete programs not required)
Experience with Fanuc controls or similar as required by machine
Experience working to standard processing times and maintaining high productivity
Be flexible to work extended hours and weekends as needed
Experience safely handling large parts utilizing overhead cranes
Good communication skills
Experience operating other machines a plus
