Maintenance Area Supervisor
The Maintenance Area Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all skilled trades maintenance employees. Lead UAW workforce in maintaining the equipment, building, and grounds. The equipment includes CNC machining, mechanical and hydraulic stamping presses, cranes, and miscellaneous auxiliary support equipment. Assist skilled trades employees in trouble shooting as applicable and supporting routine maintenance of building and grounds as required by the Plant Facilities Engineering Group. Coach (and lead) employees in WCM initiatives and the implementation of WCM tools to support plant teams and data collection. This position is a non-traditional shift in a 7 day operation.
Basic Requirements: • Bachelor's degree required in a technical major
• 5 years' experience supervising skilled tradesman
• Basic knowledge of maintenance trades with strong background in heavy manufacturing equipment
• Self-motivated ""multi-tasker"" with autonomous decision making skills
• Excellent communication skills for multi-shift operation
• Good problem solver with team building skills and planning skills
• Experience with preventive equipment maintenance software systems (along with shop floor implementation)
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications: • Journeyman card in Electrical or Hydraulics (machine repair) with technical degree
• Extensive background in machining equipment maintenance
• UAW skilled trades supervisory experience with record of team development in the various world class production systems for equipment maintenance
