Description Maintenance Leader Responsibilities:The Maintenance Leader has responsibility for directing and guiding the mechanical maintenance work within the Kraft Paper department. - Provides leadership and direction to the maintenance department responsible for repair as well as maintenance of machines, tools, and equipment and drives in manufacturing operations. - Directs mechanical technicians in their roles, responsibilities and expectations to meet plant objectives in safety, quality, cost, and customer service. - Eliminates all causes of failure and ensures the full useful equipment service life. - Provides leadership in implementing and or maintaining preventive and predictive maintenance programs. - Ensures that appropriate inventory levels for standard replacement parts are maintained. - Continuously applies sound mechanical solutions to resolve reliability issues which negatively impact plant efficiencies [driving continuous improvement]. - Provides technical support for efficient troubleshooting and or problem solving activities and mechanical repair to maximize efficiencies and limit downtime. - Ensures that a follow-up analysis is completed to identify and resolve recurring downtime and or inefficient operational issues. - Ensures mandatory inspections, certifications and appropriate laws and regulations are adhered to. - Ensures environmental compliance. - Effectively communicates results and action plans to appropriate employees and managers. - Collaborates directly with human resources to ensure employee issues or concerns are correctly addressed and resolved. - Collaborates with finance to create and execute a maintenance and capital budget to ensure that financial allocations and obligations are set, administered and met. - Works as part of a team to support the Palatka mill effort to safely improve the electrical and drive reliability by applying reliability principles such as Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) to identify the appropriate predicative and Preventative maintenance procedures. Basic Qualifications: - Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering degree preferred), Industrial Management, and Manufacturing, Production Operations Management or equivalent field of study preferred. - 7 or more years of work experience in a maintenance area. - 7 or more years of Supervisory or Management experience. - Basic mathematical, statistical and financial skills required.
